Fun Utah Events this Weekend!

 

Halloween Spooktacular: Friday, 10/23 from 6pm-9pm, the City of South Salt Lake hosts its annual Halloween Spooktacular, featuring crafts, costume contests, karaoke, haunted houses, food, bounce houses, carnival games, storytelling, movies, and live entertainment. All activities are free of charge. Event held at the Columbus Center, 2531 South 400 East, Salt Lake City. More info here.

The Great Pumpkin Festival: Fall Families can check out the pumpkin patch, go on hay rides, watch an outdoor screening of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, peruse vendor booths, get their faces painted, and bounce around in a bounce house at Farnsworth Farms' annual Great Pumpkin Festival. Freshly-pressed hot cider, caramel apples, popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and hot chocolate are available for purchase. Dress for the weather and bring a warm blanket or chairs for the movie. Minimal fee for some of the activities. This event is ongoing each Fri & Sat 10/16/09 - 10/24/09. More info here.

Fall Festival at the District: Saturday, October 24th from 1-4pm. The City of South Jordan hosts a fall festival featuring face painting, a costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, street performers, light refreshments, a scarecrow contest, and trick-or-treating at the shops. MillFREAK Halloween Party: The Community Councils of Millcreek Township offer a Halloween party in the park. Costume contest, jump toys, games, candy, and BBQ dinner. Giant pumpkin drop with Unified Fire Authority at 6:30 p.m. SPLAT! Saturday, October 24th from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Canyon Rim Park, 3100 S. 2900 E. More info here.

Halloween Pumpkin Festival: Families are invited to Brigham City's Pumpkin Festival, an annual event featuring pumpkin displays, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, crafts, face painting, a pumpkin patch, a hay ride, puppet story times, and games. Saturday, 10/24 from noon- 6pm at Rees Pioneer Park, 800 West Forest Street, Brigham City.
