Target Now Offering BYOB Credit

 

Target is implementing a BYOB [Bring Your Own Bag] program. For each of the bags/totes that you bring in yourself, you'll receive a FIVE CENT credit on your transaction. The bags must be the reusable type (not the usual plastic disposable ones that we recycle at home). They can be anything you've purchased at Target or ANY OTHER STORE. They could be bags that you have made yourself or got as swag. Where you got them doesn't matter. It only matters that you remember to take them. YMMV by store. I think as the new cash registers w/catalina coupon printers are rolled out you will see this go into effect. I'm going out on a limb to guess that the old registers don't have the ability to give this credit.
So now on the top of your shopping list, remember to put......
BYOB for FIVE CENTS CREDIT EACH! Count your bags and make sure you announce the number to the cashier so that she gets the number correct! :)
